Abstract : Common fixed point and invariant approximation results are presented for subcompatib.le maps, a class of noncomniuting maps recently introduced in the literature. This work extends some well-known results, especially, those of Hussain and Khan (2003), Hussain and Rhoades (2006), Sahab, Khan and Sessa (1998) and Singh (1979).
