About Us

The idea of establishing a research and consulting institute at King Abdulaziz University culminated in the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, with honorable guidance No. (7/476 / AD) dated 12/23/1418 AH, so that the institute is the body responsible for research funded from outside the university. The idea of establishing the institute went through the following:

• King Abdulaziz University Council Resolution No. (3) dated 5/26/1418 AH, which includes a recommendation to establish a research and consulting institute at King Abdulaziz University, based on the memorandum submitted by His Excellency the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research regarding a proposal to establish a research and consulting institute at the university .
• Higher Education Council Decision No. (2156 / A) in its ninth session, held on 9/6/1418 AH, approving the establishment of the Research and Consulting Institute at King Abdulaziz University.
• The institute’s regulation was issued in accordance with University Council Resolution No. (9) at its eighth meeting for the academic year 1422/1423 AH, held on 4/19/1423 AH corresponding to 6/30/2002.
